Exterior painting in Canterbury

Professional finish to Exterior decorating

A brief description of this service begins with a thorough inspection of all external surfaces to identify any areas affected by mould, damp, or general wear and tear. Once any affected areas have been properly treated and allowed to fully dry, we proceed with the necessary preparation and repairs.

Any wood rot will be carefully removed. Where required, new timber will be spliced into the affected areas, or the existing wood will be treated, hardened, and repaired using a suitable external wood filler. All repaired woodwork will then be sanded smooth to achieve a seamless finish. Surfaces will be prepared with an appropriate undercoat and finished with a high-quality external trim paint, solvent or water-based for maximum durability and protection.

We will also assess the condition of all masonry surfaces. Any cracks or loose areas will be raked out and filled with a suitable masonry powder filler to blend with the existing texture. Areas of blown, flaking, or loose paint will be thoroughly scraped back, and where necessary, levelled with an external filler to ensure a sound surface.

To ensure proper adhesion of the new coatings, a stabilising primer will be applied to any porous or previously unstable areas prior to painting.

Finally, your chosen masonry finishes and colours will be applied. As with all our work, we take great care to protect surrounding areas and leave your property clean and tidy upon completion.
